About me

My name is Robert and I am from England. I have been teaching English as a foreign language for over 12 years. I studied Linguistics and Philosophy.

I first became interested in foreign languages when, as a small child, on holiday in Scotland, I saw a small book about Gaelic and purchased it. I did not succeed in that language, but as an adult I learnt Turkish to a kind of fluency, and years ago, Spanish to a mediocre level.

My hobbies include reading the Oxford English Dictionary, pursuing etymologies, and swinging on monkey bars. I also like books and mountains.
